Stormwatch® Protection
Protection you can see through.
Andersen’s Stormwatch® products are impact-rated for Florida’s coast. No shutters. No panels. No afternoon spent preparing. The glass does the work, and the view stays open.

01
How it works
Four layers of quiet strength.
Laminated glass
Impact glass with a laminated interlayer, in monolithic or dual-pane options. Struck by debris, the glass may crack, but it stays in the frame.
Reinforced frames
Heavier frame sections and reinforced corners carry the pressure cycles of a storm without flexing. The glass is only as strong as what holds it.
Multi-point locks
Locks engage at several points along the sash or panel, holding the unit tight to the frame under wind load. One motion, every point.
The install matters too
Every product is tested and approved as a unit. Then it has to be installed to its approval. That’s why our own crews install every opening, and we pull the permit and close the inspection.
02
Certification
Rated for the coast. Documented for your permit.
Every Stormwatch® unit we install carries the approvals Florida requires. We file the paperwork, pull the permit and close the inspection. You keep a clean record for your insurer and your next buyer.
State approval
Florida Product Approval
Each product carries a Florida Product Approval number, documenting that it has been tested and accepted for use across the state. Florida Product Approvals for the Andersen Stormwatch® windows we install include FL15551 (A-Series casement), FL24174 (A-Series and 400 Series fixed) and FL12496 (400 Series casement). [CONFIRM: approvals for awning windows and A-Series patio doors] Performance values vary by product, size and configuration. Your consultation confirms the design-pressure rating for every opening.
Coastal standard
HVHZ tested
Select Stormwatch® products are approved for Florida’s High Velocity Hurricane Zone (HVHZ).

Beyond the storm
Beyond the storm.
The same laminated glass that helps guard against windborne debris also softens outside noise and adds security. Many Florida insurers recognize impact-rated openings; ask your agent about wind mitigation.
